Thanksgiving in California 2011!

We spent Thanksgiving week with the AF volleyball team and my family in California. Mel flew out from Omaha and we had a great time. The weather was amazing and we had the best time hanging out with family and friends!

Mel and I have a good friend (Amy Mason) who works at adidas and every now and then she'll send some goodies.  Mikayla loves her new Minnie shoes from Auntie Amy!

We visit 3 different parks in Colorado Springs and she calls this one waterfall park.  She loves throwing rocks and sticks into the water.

Omaha was hot this summer so we took advantage of every opportunity to play in water!

We signed her up for swimming camp at Swimtastic in Omaha. She had a blast learning how to kick her legs, blow bubbles, and get comfortable in the water with Miss Joan and Mr. Alex.

Our baby girl is 2! We had big plans for her birthday, but had to scrap them when she woke up in the middle of the night with a temperature. We spent the day before her birthday at the doctor. He confirmed an ear infection, her fever spiked to 103.9, and she suffered a febrile seizure. Thankfully, it was in the doctor's office and he was able to keep us calm while it passed. It's the scariest thing in the world to watch your child go through something like that and we are so grateful that she's on the mend. Happy Birthday Mikayla Leigh!

On our second to last night at Disney, I finally had a little free time in the evenings. Brook was finished recruiting as well and Auntie B got to spend some quality time with Mikayla.
